Trams in London

In some areas of south London, there are trams that travel between Wimbledon, Croydon, Beckenham, and New Addington. Tram services in London are frequent and easily accessible.

In London, trams are considered to be a component of the bus system, hence the same basic fare of £1.65 is charged.

Oyster cards, contactless payments, and Travelcards are all accepted forms of payment for this service.

When do London trams operate?

Tramlink tram service begins on weekdays at 5.30am, on weekends at 6am, and on holidays at 7am.

Every day of the week, the final services of the evening begin around midnight. Every ten minutes or so on average during the day, with significantly less frequent service in the early mornings and late evenings.

Travelers should use the Tube because it avoids traffic and signal obstacles and is the fastest option.

Outside of the venue, the Underground stations are easily recognizable as the red and blue branding makes it simple to identify.

To obtain the best deal, purchase an Oyster card, Travelcard, Visitor Oyster card, or use a contactless payment card. 

A visitor Oyster card can be ordered in advance and shipped to your home address for less money than a regular Oyster card. 

If your contactless payment card was issued outside of the UK, contact your bank to find out if there will be any additional transaction fees or charges before you leave.
