London The Overground

The Overground, unlike the Tube, goes entirely above the ground, as the name implies. The Overground services run parallel to The Tube since they are a more recent addition to the metropolis.

This means of transportation is also reasonably priced and accessible via an Oyster card, which is easily topped off at any station.

If you’ve chosen an Oyster contactless payment, you don’t need to tap in or out, but there may be some stations that do.

The Overground’s distinctive and instantly recognizable logo is essentially identical to that of The Tube, with the exception of the orange circle in place of the red one.

London Rail Services

Yes, there is still one. In addition to the ones just stated, London also swears by Rail Services. These are the quicker ones that connect London with its suburbs and with some of the farther-flung regions of the nation.

Although there is a direct train link to London’s airports—Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted—there are other trains that travel outside of London and are not part of the Transport for London network.

.You might have to purchase tickets for them at the station ticket window or from the machines because Oyster or other cards won’t work there.

There are some exceptions in this situation (such suburban trains in zones 1 to 9), and some trains headed for Heathrow are covered by the Oyster card.
